Special Olympic Games

Back in November Rosh was asked to take leadership of the district wide Special Olympic Games. This was the first ever event in their state help by Indian subset of Special Olympics international. They organized 200 volunteers for their Community Coaches Training camp program who also assisted participants on the sports day event. 300 mentally challenged children and adults participated in their first ever games. Those who qualify in this district level will then participate in state level and possibly go on to national and international Special Olympics events. Happy Home won 22 medals and participated in both higher ability and lower ability events. Happy Home showed the love of Jesus Christ to hundreds of leaders and participants who took part. The special olympics organization felt this was the most organized event that has been held in southern India, which was all thanks to Rosh. This was an incredible opportunity for Happy Home and Roshan, and now they ask for our prayers and God’s favor over them as they continue to be involved in leadership in their community.
